Sales Terminal Interface ♦ Category: All Bottle “Ring” System, “Gun” System, Stand Alone Control Systems, Computer Interfaced Systems ♦ Information: The POS / ECR Interface recommended by TLC will provide direct link between Berg liquor dispensers and your sales terminal. A sales terminal is either a Point of Sale (POS) terminal or an Electronic Cash Registers (ECR). As each drink is poured the sales terminal interface will capture sales automatically both at the POS / ECR and Berg Control System. TYPES of INTERFACES The Smart or Direct Ring-Up Interface will permit a pour only after the sales terminal rings up the sale and acknowledges the request. The Pre-Checking Interface is ideal for use with Server Order Entry Terminals. When an order is received at a bartending station and the pour request is made by Berg a validation sequence occurs. Berg will release only those pours that are contained with-in the list of pre-rung items (pre-checked). The sales terminal then acknowledges the request and the pour is released. The File Posting Method saves pour requests to a file. Later, there is a report of the differences between pours vs. what was actually rung up. The pour occurs only after the sales terminal acknowledges the request. The Parallel Data or Dumb Interface is a one way communication link to a “keyboard wedge” located with-in the sales terminal. This type of interface requires no response from the terminal. The wedge translates the Berg signal into keystrokes on the terminal. While this type of interface offers the convenience of autoringing it provides no guarantee that the sale was captured with-in the sales terminal. Check with us or your sales terminal representative to see if the your terminal is Berg compatible. |
